  1. Point-to-Point Trailhead Shuttle
  • Service: Transport riders, bikes, and gear to Highline Trail trailheads.
  • Ideal For: Solo riders, groups, and bike packers doing one-way rides.
  • How It Works:
    • Riders will park at the trailhead where they will finish their ride.
    • Rim Country Bicycle picks them up at their vehicle and shuttles them and their bikes and gear to the trailhead from which they start.
  • Pricing: $75 for one client, each additional rider is $50.

Ride at your own pace and enjoy the day knowing your vehicle is waiting for you.

  1. Round-Trip Shuttle Service
  • Service: Transport riders, bikes, and gear to the starting trailhead. Pick riders up at the end-of-ride trailhead and shuttle them back to the point of origin.
  • Ideal for: Riders and bike packers who are unable to transport their bikes and gear themselves.
  • How it Works:
  • Rim Country Bicycles picks up riders and their gear at a pre-approved location in or around Payson, Az. And shuttles them to the trailhead they wish to start from.
  • Rim Country Bicycles picks riders up at the ending trailhead and shuttles them back to the pickup point.
  • Note: For this service, Rim Country Bicycles requires riders to download the app “Life360” so employees can monitor pace and communicate about alternate exits if conditions become unfavorable.
  • Pricing: $150 for one, each additional rider $50.

🧭 3. Weekend Shuttle Runs on Pine-Strawberry Trail

  • Service: Shuttle service from Pine to the Pine-Strawberry Trailhead.
  • Ideal For: Casual riders and weekend warriors.
  • How It Works: Riders park their vehicle at the pickup spot. (Note: letter from PNFRG about letting us use the space and how we are donating $2 per rider to their cause) RCB shuttles them and their gear to the trailhead, from where they ride back to their vehicle.
  • Pricing: $20 per person. (Multiple runs allowed)

Highline Trailheads

1. Pine Trailhead (Western Terminus)

  • Location: Near Pine, AZ.

  • Directions: From Litchfield Park, take I-10 E to AZ-202 Loop E, then AZ-87 N to Pine. Turn east on Hardscrabble Mesa Road to reach the trailhead.

2. Geronimo Trailhead (low priority)

    • Location: Near Payson, AZ.

    • Directions: From Payson, take AZ-260 E to Control Road (FR 64). Follow FR 64 to the trailhead.

    • Mountain Biking Notes: Features steep climbs and technical descents. Best suited for advanced riders.

3. Washington Park Trailhead

  • Location: East of Pine, AZ.

  • Directions: From Pine, take AZ-87 N to Forest Road 32. Follow FR 32 to the trailhead.

4. See Canyon Trailhead

  • Location: Near Christopher Creek, AZ.

  • Directions: From Payson, take AZ-260 E to Forest Road 284 (See Canyon Road). Follow FR 284 to the trailhead.

5. Horton Creek Trailhead

  • Location: Near Christopher Creek, AZ.

  • Directions: From Payson, take AZ-260 E to Forest Road 289. Follow FR 289 to the trailhead.

  • Mountain Biking Notes: Offers a mix of moderate and challenging sections. Scenic views with creek crossings.

6. 260 Trailhead (Eastern Terminus)

  • Location: Near Forest Lakes, AZ.

  • Directions: From Payson, take AZ-260 E to Forest Road 300 (Rim Road). Follow FR 300 to the General Springs Cabin area.
